What Excites Me

I love life. I love living. I love my life. It’s not that I haven’t faced challenges before. It’s not that I haven’t had sad or hard moments in life. Let’s be real, life can be hard. Life can be downright unfair sometimes. However, one thing I have noticed is that life is a mirror. It mirrors your thoughts. It mirrors what you say. It mirrors what you believe and say over and over to yourself.

Some people believe that life is by chance and you deal with whatever life throws at you. But what if that life is a choice? What if life is really what you make it? What if you woke up one morning and listened to the birds sing while you drink your morning coffee? What if one day you made a choice to look for the positive side to every situation? What if you choose to say Thank You, Jesus, IN everything? What if you try to find the escape out of a situation? Create an escape?

Life is full of possibilities big and small. There are no limits to this life you live except for the ones you give yourself. At any moment you could give back to others who need help, start a non-profit business, get an RV and travel around the world, run in a 26.2 mile marathon, go back to school and learn something new, become an entrepreneur, hone your craft and sell it to help enrich someone’s life, or do all of the above. Life can be rich and full. That is what excites me about life. That even in the midst of uncertainty, the unknown or a scary situation, make a choice to know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28, NKJV). If you live your life on those terms, you would never be bored; you would never be lonely, and you would never stay in fear, regret and dread. Life is working for you.
